WASHINGTON DC, September 9, 2020 – Zane Networks, LLC (ZaneNet) a woman-owned small business specializing in healthcare transformation services and solutions, is pleased to announce their certification as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) business by the United States Small Business Administration (SBA).

HUBZone certification will make ZaneNet eligible to compete for the program’s set-aside contracts and receive a 10 percent price evaluation preference in full and open contract competitions. The SBA offers HUBZone certification to businesses operating in historically underutilized business zones, with a goal of awarding at least 3 percent of all federal contracting dollars to HUBZone-certified small businesses each year.

In line with its social mission of reducing healthcare and other disparities, the company is committed to hiring at least 35% of our workforce from geographically challenged locations who might face barriers to employment. As a company, ZaneNet is committed to providing employment opportunities by connecting employees from underserved workforce areas to employment on federal projects.

“Our HubZone certification exemplifies our mission to provide job opportunities to those in traditionally underserved areas,” says Alexandra Jellerette, President of Zane Networks. “We are excited about the opportunity to provide ongoing services to address important healthcare and technology challenges while creating jobs in economically challenged areas and investing in our local community.”
