Bessy earned her Master’s in Health Informatics from George Mason University (GMU), specializing in Health Data Analytics, and also holds a B.S. in Community Health from GMU. Coming from a public health background, she has worked with local health departments helping in COVID-19 case investigations, community health clinics, and tuberculosis outreach work. She has interned with the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Health IT Collaborative for the Underserved (NHIT) to expand her expertise in data analytics and public health research. At NHIT, she helped develop a cloud-based food insecurity and diabetes management dashboard and analyzed the role of the social determinants of health in cardiovascular disease outcomes. At Zane Networks, she brings her passion for health equity and data-driven solutions to the Customer and Client Success team.
