The Governor’s Office of Health Information Technology (OHIT) hosted its first US Virgin Islands Digital Health Summit July 26-27 in St. Thomas and brought together over 20 leading international and national health IT businesses, who sponsored the event and exhibited their solutions to summit attendees.

Governor Albert  Bryan provided opening remarks for the Summit and afterwards explained: “The Summit exceeded my expectations. It was truly both a necessity and joy to see so many of these important companies gathered right here in St. Thomas to help us in the Territory as we embrace the Digital Age and seek to accelerate identifying and using the right technology tools solve issues related to care coordination, telemedicine and information exchange.”

Zane Networks was featured prominently at the Summit. In addition to exhibiting at the event, Luigi Leblanc, MPH, CPHIT, VP of Technology moderated a session, “USVI Readiness & Resiliency for IT Investments.” The session examined territorial readiness and the capability to support IT infrastructure needs.
