Application and Software Development
Zane Networks has provided technical project management and software development services to help organizations build health-related applications to improve patient care. Our team of developers, business analysts, project managers and others work together to come up with solutions that fit the needs of our clients 1) better communicate with patients and other healthcare organizations, 2) track important healthcare data, 3) provide online health-related learning opportunities and 3) integrate with other related devices, applications and health information exchanges.
For example, we developed the Howard University Diabetes Treatment Center’s Patient Web Portal (PWP) and PWP mobile application. The portal serves as communications tool, linking patients to the DTC team to better facilitate coordinated care and diabetes self-management. The design was based on feedback from DTC focus group participants and patient data was migrated from the DTC EHR system.
Another example is HouseCall, our telehealth platform, a customizable telehealth tool that allows providers to connect with patients and other healthcare organizations in their community. We have also built several online platforms and tools that promote health education in the areas of: HIV/AIDS, diabetes, OB-GYN and Traumatic Brain Injury.
