Job Summary

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that compliance and security controls are functioning optimally across all areas of the CRISP business. The successful candidate will provide critical, day to day project management within a program focused on the secure operation of a major health information exchange (HIE). This will require coordination with team members across the organization, building and managing the pipeline of specific remediation and improvement projects, and working with the technical teams carrying out the programmatic implementations. Continual evaluation of the program to determine areas of improvement is critical to this role. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to play a major role in the secure and appropriate utilization of CRISP HIE services throughout the region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate project status to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the management of Federal (HIPAA/HITECH) and, (COMAR) healthcare regulatory compliance and Security Framework (SOC-2 and HITRUST) amongst various projects
  • Administer and/or assist with program deployments and processes including milestones and deliverable management
  • Contribute to special projects as needed, including privacy & security initiatives and compliance efforts
  • Assist with security audits and assessments conducted by regulatory bodies and CRISP participants
  • Report to Director of on security/compliance metrics and key project

Required Skills

  • Strong project management, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts

  • Understanding of Federal (HIPAA/HITECH) healthcare regulatory requirements

Preferred Skills

  • Program management experience
  • Understanding of Federal (HIPAA/HITECH) and State (COMAR) healthcare regulatory requirements
  • Experience conducting or responding to security and/or compliance audits, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Basic understanding of health information exchange (HIE)
  • Business analysis experience
  • Education and/or Experience
  • 4-year college degree
  • 2+ years of working in healthcare arena, with experience in auditing and compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year
